Principal's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to The Grange Academy — a school with high expectations, a clear sense of purpose, and a growing reputation for excellence. We are proud to be part of the Future Academies Trust, and our mission guides everything we do: 

Our purpose is simple: to deliver libertas per cultum — freedom through education. We do this by living our values of Knowledge, Aspiration, and Respect and removing barriers to create Brilliant Humans who go on to achieve Brilliant Outcomes and reach Brilliant Destinations. 

At The Grange Academy, we are building a community where students excel academically, grow in character, and feel part of something bigger than themselves. We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we are ambitious for every child who walks through our doors. 

Our curriculum is distinctive. We offer a knowledge-rich curriculum that is both ambitious and accessible. Students experience depth across a wide range of subjects, including Computer Science and Latin, both taught discretely to all students. Our enrichment programme, supported by Future Academies and the Future charity, provides opportunities that broaden horizons and nurture curiosity — from university visits and cultural trips. 

Our staff are great. They bring expertise, energy, and unwavering commitment to every student, ensuring that each child is known, supported, and stretched to reach their full potential. Together, we foster an environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to be brilliant human beings. 

We are proud of the improvement journey we’ve been on. There is real momentum building, with significant gains in both GCSE and A-level results, reflecting the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff. Our fantastic facilities provide an inspiring setting for learning, creativity, and growth — a place where futures are shaped and ambitions are realised.

Our vision, culture, and core values are the multiplier that makes every decision, action, and interaction within the academy more effective. By ensuring that these values translate to actions and ultimately habits, every single student at The Grange Academy will achieve outcomes that will provide them with the freedom to compete with anyone in society, regardless of any challenges that they face. By taking ownership of their actions and understanding that these will determine their future success and create their character as an individual.
